Date night in Rome’s Prati: aperitivo, dinner and Valentine’s Day
A good date starts before the first toast. Sometimes all it takes is choosing somewhere you both want to linger. The Appuntamento is an Italian restaurant and cocktail bar in Rome’s Prati neighbourhood, at Via Pompeo Magno 12C. Flowers, ceramics and a colourful Italian-style living room set the scene for a romantic dinner, an anniversary or an evening that needs no particular excuse.
Start with aperitivo or book straight into dinner?
A cocktail is a lovely way to let an evening find its own rhythm, especially on a first date. For an anniversary or a night you have set aside for each other, book a dinner table. Food and cocktails share the same home here; choose the pace that suits the two of you.
The regular published service times are 6–8:30 pm for aperitivo and 8–11 pm for dinner, every day. The venue is open from 9:30 am until 2 am. The later closing time is for the venue and does not mean the dinner kitchen stays open until 2 am.
Our idea of romance is in the details
Flowers, glasses, decorated plates, colour and light are part of the occasion. Our Italian-style living room brings together the pleasure of eating and the pleasure of looking around. A little glamour gives you an excuse to dress for the evening; a welcoming atmosphere lets you settle in once you arrive.
If you would like flowers or a personal detail for the table, explore our Flower Bar and ask the team about a proposal. Arrangements, availability and prices are agreed in advance rather than included automatically with a table booking.

Valentine’s Day and anniversaries need a little planning
For 14 February, an anniversary or a first date you have been looking forward to, book ahead and tell us about any special requests. Special dates may have different availability, service times or dining arrangements. This guide does not announce a Valentine’s Day menu or package: please check the arrangements for your date directly with the team.
